Mirror is a small magazine covering the things people actually deal with every week: picking the right software, building habits that make the day less chaotic, understanding why we spend money the way we do, the psychology behind our own decisions, the relationships we manage without a manual, and the internet places we spend half our time in.

Each beat has its own writer — see Writers for who covers what. Research and first drafts are put together with the help of AI tools, then reviewed against a fixed set of style and fact-check guidelines before anything is published. We'd rather publish less and be right than publish more and be wrong.

The bylines are editorial personas, not real people. Each one keeps a consistent voice, beat and point of view across everything published under it, but the name isn't a real person's and the portrait is an illustration rather than a photograph on purpose — we'd rather that be obvious than have it look like something it isn't.
